One of the best web design blogs, A List Apart, posted an interesting article this week.

Although aimed at web designers, the information in both useful and interesting to anyone who is likely to be involved in a web project, either as a supplier or a customer.

The article, Taking the Guess Work Out of Design,  offers a variety of techniques that can help a project become more efficient and successful through documentation, goal setting and communication.

On the Web: Is Self-Centered Web Copy Hurting Your Websites?

Web Designer Depot published in interesting article this morning relating to writin web copy.

In summary the article highlights some of the dos and don'ts about writing (or hiring someone to write) the text content of your web site. The  basic principle can be summed up by a phrase used in this article, "To engage prospects and turn them into customers, web copy needs to appeal to the visitor’s self-interest." I'd add to this statement "and not the site owner's"
